Biophysical Parameters Map
A map of biophysical parameters is a product that contains information about the physical and chemical properties of certain phenomena on the Earth's physical surface.
Areas, acquisition epochs and biophysical parameters that were created are:
1. SPOT 5 satellite imagery from 2011, 10 m GSD, covering the territory of the Republic of Serbia
- aux_alt (altitude) – altitude value obtained from the digital terrain model;
- aux_slp (slope) – calculated slope values;
- aux_tril (illumination) – calculated values of the amount of illumination;
- blcv (brown cover fraction) – share of brown vegetation within one pixel;
- chl (leaf chlorophyll content) – mean value of chlorophyll content in leaves per area unit;
- csh (canopy shadow factor) - a parameter that characterizes the irregular shape (uneven spread - roughness) of the canopy on the vegetation cover suitable for separating shadows in relation to the rest of the image content;
- dcl (cloud reflectance) – value of reflection of sunlight from clouds;
- glcv (green cover fraction) – share of green vegetation within one pixel;
- sb (soil brightness) – value of sunlight reflection from bare soil;
- scv (soil fraction) – part of the soil that is not covered by vegetation (1 - (glcv+ blcv));
- visi (distance of visibility) – horizontal visibility. The value of this parameter depends on the coefficient of reflection of sunlight from particles in the air (aerosol);
- wat (leaf water content) – mean value of water content in leaves per area unit;
- xsf (vegetation brown ratio) – ratio of the share of brown vegetation in relation to the total vegetation;
- mwh (water height) – mean value of water height;
- wcv (water fraction) – share of water cover per pixel.
2. SPOT 6 satellite imagery from 2013, 6 m GSD, covering most of the territory of AP Vojvodina and the territory east and south of Belgrade
- glcv (green cover fraction) – share of green vegetation within one pixel;
- blcv (brown cover fraction) – share of brown vegetation within one pixel;
- csh (canopy shadow factor) - a parameter that characterizes the irregular shape (uneven spread - roughness) of the canopy on the vegetation cover suitable for separating shadows in relation to the rest of the image content;
- wcv (water fraction) – share of water cover per pixel.
